Today I have been thinking about the case of my posts being deleted! I had earlier typed up my reasons for coming to a conclusion but it rambled on so much I decided that nobody would be particulary interested so scrapped it. I have decided to terminate my association with this Forum with immediate effect.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all those who have helped me in the past. I wish you all well.
man... sorry to see you go.

Sorry you feel that way but I don't see why you should leave just for a couple of posts being removed. I've had posts removed, in fact I bet there's plenty of us that have, but I think the forum is too important to throw my dummy out the pram over a couple of posts.

Where else would I find such a wealth of knowledge and help for my Windows 7 machine, I hope you reconsider and decide to stay but of course it's your choice what you do.:)

Not all people are same. Some people take online communication very seriously, this includes me as well. Type of online communication decides my real life mood. If it goes bad, my mood will be bad the entire day and if it's good, then good. If I feel I'm being made fun of and/or insulted, even though indirectly, that results in bad communication in real life with family members and friends/collogues as well as I face some depression too.

trouble with written communication is that it can be misinterpreted very easily, as communication is 70% visual ie body language, facial expression etc

i you could hear me laughing at some of the posts i make you would clearly know i was having a joke, but to read them without that audio then you may think im being mean or cruel.

if you do allow people to determine how your day goes then be careful posting in the chillout room as there is a lot of leg pulling and fun here.
sometimes there may be a language barrier that means you may not fully get the joke and that may ruin your day.

I go back and edit about half of my posts because of how difficult it is to write fluently yet understandably when such critical tasks are being undertaken, without chance of being misunderstood and causing someone to ruin their Win7 or PC. Fortunately this has never happened, but the pressure alone is enough to cause frayed nerves and righteous anger at those who don't take it seriously at all, no matter how clearly its communicated.

I was hoping Mitch would see the other side of feeling he'd been censored, and that's how we all benefit from editing when it's done as deftly as Shawn does. The best any writer can hope for is to have the very best editor in the business, and in this business he is widely viewed as the best. He could take every thread on a given subject, piece them together to flow perfectly while leaving out the chaff, all without breaking a sweat while doing several other things at the same time.

I've had my whole thread removed.. not exactly sure why it happened.. maybe my fault..( subject matter ),
I just wasn't sure why.. I didn 't get upset..I took the missed thread with, as we say down south.. " A grain of Salt " ,
    meaning.... it stung a bit.
Hopefully Mitchell will be back soon, I hate to see such a nice member leave .
