Reading Books on Tablets
I know reading is old tech but I' be interested in people's views on this. Is it an enjoyable experience, do you get eyestrain etc.
(I'm not talking about the 10 big ones)

It depends on the tablet and the person reading it. I've seen more complaints of eyestrain on backlit screens than on e-ink screens.
The biggest downside to using tablets to read books, however, is the considerably lower battery life tablets have compared to e-book readers that use e-ink displays.
I read novels almost everyday on my mobile's 2.5 inch screen (travel almost 4 hrs daily to/from work) and I haven't felt any eye strain till now and books sure are enjoyable :)
As said, I guess it depends on the person doing the reading.
And I'm just the opposite. I prefer the largest screen possible. I have a laptop and a Kindle, and much prefer reading ebooks on my laptop because I can get between 1.5 to 2 times more words on the laptop screen than the Kindle screen.
Lady Fitzgerald is right about the battery issue though. Reading on my laptop is great when it's plugged in, but on battery, I only get an average of 2.5 - 3 hours on my HP with a 12 cell battery.
i have the kindle, black/white and the nook tablet 7" HD, and the Ipad2
I prefer reading on the kindle because the light is softer on the eyes and you can read better when you are outside
