I have some post templates saved on the forums, and for information I have a few folders with webpages, threads and a .pdf document for a entire book; I also have a little blue notebook for my BSOD analysis, it contains general tips for certain bugchecks, commands and extensions with explanations and some specific information about IRQLs, IRPs etc.

Yea I use word 2007 also for these items,
Most people recommend not using word because of poor html translation/ issues,
I'm curious on how you setup your doc's ?

Great ideas. I do something similar -- I've got Word docs for each of my Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: tips, advice, urls for useful websites, problem solutions, etc. Each file is a one-stop-shop, for example, my Windows 7 file is up to 282 pages, as of today --- with everything in alphabetical order (and cross-referenced when necessary) --- Also each heading is in CAPS, BOLD + IN COLOR, so I can pretty much find any topic in a few seconds.

PS I also make at least one copy of each of these files --- cause if they get corrupted or lost, I would pretty much pull my hair out!!!

As I mentioned earlier, I use a database. It runs under Apache on my home web server. Has a lot of info and is easily searchable.

This is what it looks like:
