I read somewhere that the Inuit diet features a lot of blubber and highly saturated fat. Must help them keep warm.
However they have a low heart attack/cholesterol problem.

    Makes yer fink dunnit?

Oh and Kari. Very well put. You are obviously multilingual and your written English is impeccable. Do you still think in Finnish?

There are still some nomadic tribes on the coasts that still rely on Whale blubber as a staple, but as western culture continues to invade their lifestyle, not so much anymore... Whale blubber was often eaten in the form of a jerky, while on hunting expeditions... Ive eaten whale meat and enjoyed it very much, but couldnt get past the odor of blubber .. call me a chicken..

I've noticed the thought process automatically adopts the current spoken language. When I'm alone, I do think in Finnish, as well as when I'm talking with friends and family in Finland or meeting other Finns here.

When I'm with my wife we speak German and my thought process swaps to that. At work I use German, English and Swedish and the language of the thought process normally follows the current language. I notice it when for example having a meeting in English and afterwards phoning home to my wife; thought language takes some time to change and I find it first difficult to find German words to talk with her.

    Actually that's really thought provoking.
Do we write a script microseconds before we speak and then say it.
    Is there pure thought?
Babies have no language so can they think?

Really? Never heard! That is a really interesting piece of information. Have to check the interweb to see if I can find more info.

It means the babies have an ability to differ sign language from other hand and body movements!

If a tree falls in the forest when no one is there to hear it fall - does it make any sound

Is Kari Multilingual or just a cunning linguist?

Thanks Antman. Knew I could rely on you.
Actually think I read Pinker some time ago.
I think the Inuit have a zillion words for snow but cannot form the concept of patio furniture.
Also what about certain languages with no past tense?
Can't get my head round that.:)
