    My Sister Was Mugged Today...

Just spoken to my sister, who got mugged today in Manchester. The little f*&kers stole her iPhone, and attempted to steal her bag. She's fine but obviously shaken up about it. She said she tried to give chase but with one of those bags you wheel around in tow, it was pointless, although some guy also tried to give chase but didn't catch them.

I feel sorry for your sister, Its a terrible ordeal to be mugged like that. You must be so angry also, not being there to help. Hope she is ok though. Its not any concelation but she can get a new phone but you cannot get another sister.
with all the stabings going on people do worry alot about going out at any time of the day now.

I could write a book of what I would happily do to them right now, which mainly involves a steel rod and pulverized bones.

She is thanks, but still shaken up a bit. I think she's more angry at herself for being in that position, as she walked a back road looking for a building instead of on the main street.

Yeah, I've said to her, at least they only got her phone and didn't attack her, as it was a snatch and grab. What's frustrating, is that they put her through that, to have an hour with it, as she's obviously phoned to get it barred, so it's now an expensive paper weight.

You should get her a new one to help her feel less bad.
Good idea, I'll send you a PM with my PayPal email so you can pay for it. O2 are sending a new one out to her.

Have you reported it to the police?
"What can they do", she said, which really annoyed me, as they can't do anything if no one reports them.

Yes, you can lodge a police report. Give them your IMEI number. They will track it for you. Either way they can get the person's details who stole your sister's iphone or the person's details who bought you sister's stolen iphone. It will take months to track it down. :) Patience, my friend. If tracking down succeeds, the cops will call your sister to come down to the station for an appointment to collect her iphone back.

Wishing you the best of luck.

This too happens alot in my country. Singapore. :) Anyway i lost my nokia phone last year and lodged a police report. The culprit was caught and was sent to prison. Unfortunately, i didn't get my phone back. But it's all good.
