Today I finally found a local store that's stocking Windows 7 Family Upgrade Pack's ($249 @ WOW Sight n Sound). It's so nice to have Homegroup working now with 4 of our 6 PC's

New staff at PCCG? Does James still own it??

Sally, the Handbrake, has dealt with them from the days, when his mum was helping.
Never had any real issues. Have heard they were starting to get a bit lacks, or something.
Added my 2 bob's worth in a thread on Whirlpool, suggesting to get back to how he was years ago.

Not to sure who still owns it TBH. They did seem to go downhill for a while. I had my say on Whirlpool too. I received typical 'Whirlpool answers' too I might add

However they must have improved. They got some new staff I believe. I did order an new mobo, CPU, RAM and and a cooler late Tuesday night and it was processed and shipped by Thursday afternoon. Definitely a pleasant stark contrast to prior PCCG experiences :)

Now I'm just at the mercy of the Aus Post couriers... and their 'stellar' tracking system

In fact I've just spent the last couple of hours stripping my rig and getting ready to clean in preparation for the new bits for whenever they arrive.

I'm about to fire up the old air compressor at 2:50am for a bit of cleaning.

Too bad my neighbours aren't reading this post, otherwise I'd say "Pay back is a b*tch" isn't it?

Your giving me the itch to do an upgrade, but I think I will wait for another few months.

Orpheous... is your wife still at JCU? We should be introducing the staff and student versions of windows 7 next month(ish). I will get the staff upgrade for this system and my notebook (can legally put it on 2 computers). Student upgrade = $129, staff = $25

Unfortunately(?) my wife is now a fully fledged early childhood teacher, so there's no discounts for us anymore. I run a small business/hobby on the side building, upgrading and repairing pc's though, so at least I can claim my toys back on tax :)
When she was enrolled, x86 & x64 bit XP Pro for <AUD$130 was a lifesaver!
Have you got your pc back yet?
