Just ate a roast courtesy of my brother.. Now watching the Aussies chase 80 off 94 balls. Excellent Sunday night xx
Been fighting with connection problems, modem and router a couple of hours now.
After sleeping long and a nice brunch I put the TV on, wanted to see Alpine Skiing World Cup, men's giant slalom. No signal. We have a 100 / 20 MB VDSL line where half of the capacity is dedicated to the TV (IPTV) which normally works fine, allowing us to record 3 channels and watch fourth in FullHD.
So next step was to turn some computers on. Incredible slow connection! Speedtest gave PING 1154 ms, download 0.5 Mb/s, upload 0.2 Mb/s. Reminded me of those "good" old dial-up days with a 56k line. Seven Forums took ages to load.
A call to ISP tech service resulted nothing. Everything should be OK.
Two hours resetting modem and router, nothing works. Flushed DNS, renewed ipconfig, rebooted computers and suddenly everything works. Speedtest PING 28 ms, dl 42 Mb/s and ul 9.6 Mb/s, IPTV receiver works as it should.
The lesson: to really know computers, modems and routers you need to have a diploma in parapsychology. I don't, so I really don't understand. :)

I spent yesterday battling with my bleeping Belkin wireless adapter.....over a two hour period, repeated disconnects, resets of said adapter, re-installing of its drivers (at least 10 times) them magically it worked the rest of the night. Made my reliability index look pretty bleeping awful
So far, already a few disconnects today, but I am trying to remain positive.
Walked the dog and put the rubbish out for collection tomorrow.
Does anyone know if Google Chrome work in Windows XP?
