Smartphone launched into orbit
A smartphone has been blasted into orbit from India by a team of researchers from the University of Surrey. They hope to use a purpose-built app to test the theory, immortalised in the film Alien, that "in space no-one can hear you scream".

The plasma drive on that satellite sounds like a major achievement! I don't do facebook so won't be able to see the pictures (maybe someone can post?:))
The small size of the satellite is something most people don't think of either as we're so used to the commercial satellite sizes.

Hi ! I have a Toshiba with W7 Home 64 (build 7600) I went to Control Panel > Uninstall a program > Orbit. The folder and all its content desapeared from the tree/program files. But every time I tried to download anything it shows up ?!?!
