Any linux users hiding out here? :)

I know this is a windows oriented forum but I was wondering if any of you guys / girls also use Linux :) I myself have been a Linux user since kernel 1.0 days....so it's been a while. I am not one of those *fanboy* types and I equally enjoy Windows and Linux and IOS. I have not had the pleasure of using OSX yet but I am sure it would suit some of my tastes....but their prices I was wondering if any of you compile your own from scratch instead of using distros such as sabayon, debian, gentoo. It would really be great if Linux had the hardware support that Windows has...but I guess the majority of the market goes to Microsoft. For now I am using Windows 7 on my main desktop and I recently installed Sabayon_64 on my i3 Toshiba laptop. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about that my friend was telling me. I must compliment one thing, wifi worked right out of the box...I did not have to spend weeks trying to compile drivers from scratch.

I used to use PClos and Suse many years ago but found it way to tedious to install a program that was not in their program depository. I played around with it for about a year. It is differant but I am getting way to old to try it again. A person named Bruno helped me out with it. Sadly he has since passed.

There are quite a few linux users here and I'm pretty sure they are not hiding :)
Been using Ubuntu for quite a long time and planning to switch to Mint now.

Aaah, I spent the most time with Ubuntu 10.04 than any other Ubuntu distro. As for all Linux distros, I've spent the most time with Linux Mint 14. But, yep, I use Linux! My original screen name here was "ubunturules".... I admit, I was mad at Windows when I signed up.

I enjoy using the Linux OS and found some nice tutorials on how to use the Terminal.. If I ever have issues with this Win 7 OS.. I will not hesitate to use my emergency computer .
