What began as the Arpanet project tested in a UCLA lab for the first time Sept. 2, 1969, is now the Internet.
The front end of the Internet everyone is familiar with, the World Wide Web, was created in just the last 15 or so years. One of the people responsible for the Web as we know it today is Roy T. Fielding, who works for Day Software in Newport Beach
Fielding co-authored the HTTP standard in the early 1990s as a researcher at UC Irvine.
