Good Grandmothers, Nanas, grandma's are treasures.
    - not all old people graduate (neither of my parents qualified, nor did my paternal grandmother)
My maternal Nana would be 140+ now, she was my rock until she died when I was 17

My wife is a brilliant granny. Our eldest is 44 and youngest is 36 (5 in all)

Being a Grandfather is just the best. Our most recent grandchild is 15 months old.
I am putty in his hugs. Best time of my life.
Nothing wrong with getting older ... just wish the rusty body parts wouldn't groan.

    - I like your heart, nice thoughts for Computer0304
What is the criteria for the "elite of 8" ?
    - do birthdays count ?
    - if it is making noises when I sit down or get up ... I think I qualify

I think it means if you are 71 or older because that category does have 8 people.

And remember, those that have lived a long time so far are more experienced and wise than the young.

I've got five years to go but I'm in no hurry to get there. I'm aging fast enough as it is.

I am in the category of 71-80 together with the 8 of us. Hopefully many years still to go, but you never ever know when the road will suddenly end.
I suggested membership of this Forum to an 84 year old friend & he has signed up. So us oldies are trying to keep our end up, but in the long run I think we are beaten.

    I "watch" the fat !
Then devour it. Yum. Lamb fat

    I am 59kg (132 lbs) wringing wet ... not a pretty sight.
Yuck the one thing that puts me off lamb is the smell of that fat and these days so expensive too. If I like fat in any form it is pork crackling my friend/s over the road she and her husband used to invite my son and I to Christmas dinner after the ex left an she used to make trays of it.
Right now I cannot get enough of those frozen yoghourts on a stick

One thing I forgot was I love eggs in any shape or form -not raw though - I reckon those who swallow them uncooked were dropped on their head at birth

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the heck she is.

Like most people that voted, it seems, I fall into the 20 or Under category.
