My friend is outside Canada. I am not sure whether he is sending a disk by post or sending the file as an attachment, to be burned to disc. This I have to check.

I am supposed to get it with the key.
As long as the copy is retail and your friend hasn't got it installed on any of his machines you should be OK. If what he is sending you is OEM and has been installed on his machine at some time you cannot use it as it's tied to the machine it's first installed on.:)

Thank you. I have to check this. If this has been already installed in his computer, I'll have to find an OEM copy.

    Best regards

You do NOT want an OEM copy. You want a RETAIL copy, unless the OEM copy is from your computer manufacturer for your pc exactly.
