Photoshop CS5 vs CS6 (Should I upgrade)?
I have photoshop cs5 standard verison. I'm just wondering should i upgrade to cs6. As i see it has more 3d effects in it?

It's very expensive ... dunno if it's worth it unless you intend on doing professional graphics
Well I just want to be able do 3D graphics such as text and objects.
Even other programs that is good for this type of work. I like cs5 but just not enough in it for me to bring up my game here
I upgrade and don't see much difference, but I don't get into 3D things. I got to GFX using Paint.NET, your software is fine.
I know it's fine to do stuff it's great. But i want to do 3d Objects. Does paint.net have this?
Don't want anything like sims or so. I have cad also if i wanted this, but CAD takes to long. All i want is just basic 3d stuff like text and objects
Nope paint.net isn't a 3D prog infact there's quite a distinction between Bitmap editing programs and vector based programs, although allot of bitmap based programs like photoshop, Corelphotopaint and Gimp support 3D imaging that's not what they were intended for. You have to use different programs in conjunction with each other ie. Create your image in 3D max then import it into your photoshop scene.
You will find that in most cases allot of graphic designers concentrate on one or the other and they work in conjunction together to create the best stuff :)
I use CorelDraw wich is a Vector based program (basically means I can manipulate line drawings freely) but I use it along side CorelPhotopaint and Photoshop which means I can combine the two seamlessly. This takes allot of practice but is worth it in the end
Vector vs Bitmap
Here's a simple orb from PDN using two plugins. You'll notice the edges are not anti aliases and look like a saw tooth, mor work would be needed.
Yes I know. So that is why I'm looking for the right type of program. I think Jerry earlier created a 3D object in a Wall he did?
