Do you talk to your Car

    Hi there

Listening to BBC R5 whilst working on a computer using vmware esxi (TV in the UK is 99% RUBBISH - mind you its the same nearly everywhere) but the Talk Radio stations (BBC R5L, BBC R4, World service and the private Talk Sport) are OK, the guy from the BBC reckoned that one in 12 drivers in the UK actually talked to their cars and many more even had names for them.

Now I know sitting in a traffic jam on M60 around Manchester or the longest linear Car Park in the world (M25 round London) can induce some pretty strange behaviour but I've never heard of people talking to their cars .

Ah well I suppose it takes all sorts.

    Cheers

It has been known, but not to the extent that this fine fellow goes to.

Not sure talk is the right word. "Curse" or "Scream" would be more fitting.

My 2007 Mazda3s Sport 5 door talks to me , whenever I turn the ignition the LCD multi-display screen says "HELLO"...

I've been reading on hacks on how to type in new commands and have yet to figure out how... sigh.

I don't have a name for my car, but I'm pretty sure this one is a boy, cause I do not get along with it sometimes. And whenever I do something bad to it, like parking and hitting the curb, I apologize.

This is just me being crazy and trying to please it so it doesn't break down.

As for computers, it's all obscenities. My only conversation I ever have with it is formatting the hard drive, letting it know it's been bad.

I have a 1997 Chevy Tahoe 2DR; I would say in some essence I talk to it. Especially when it gets me out of tight spaces. I think it's a him...

My car, not the family car, is an audiophile life support system with wheels. I do not talk to it - I bang my head.
