    Hello, SevenForums!

Hi there, I'm Scarlet, also known by my real name Jamie Dignam. I am using Windows 7 on both Toshiba Satellite C660-2E2 and an Acer Aspire ES1-531-C0XK laptops. The former is my sister's although I provide support for it, and the latter is my own. I turn 16 on the 21st and although haven't use Windows 7 as a main OS since late 2012, I hope to be of assistance.

Anyway, if I run into any troubles I'll come on here and ask questions here, and hopefully get an answer. I also hope people can keep the off-topic section here active as I like talking about other things too :)

    Hope I have fun~

    Hello Scarlet,

I to have just installed and am using Windows 7 again.
I gave Windows 10 a try and really just don't care for it not that it is bad I just don't like it and really can't complain as it was free right.
Anyway I've been using Linux as my main driver since 2014 without complaints as it does what I need very well.
I figured since I've a Windows 7 DVD and it is still supported why not put an install on one of my not being used desktop computers.
I never had any complaints with Windows and just decided to to give Linux a try and I liked it so started using it and learning how it works and what it is about.
I figure having both OSs Linux and Windows I have the best of both OS worlds.

I'm a big fan of Solus Linux myself, as a matter of fact, although haven't used it as an operating system for quite a while now as I find Windows suits my needs better. :P

I think I've seen you before when I was still active on VistaX64 (I was Cammygirl192 at the time). :P

Yeah I've tried several Linux Distros before finding the few I use they're all good for the most part.
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS was an excellent Linux Distro although since the release of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS it has just really become a big problematic PITA.
One of the beauties of open source is all of the different choices and if this doesn't work then try this one and so on.

Absolutely! There is a very vast amount of choice in the open source world that you don't get in the proprietary world to suit everyone's needs. ^^
