Oldest primate fossil found: how these bones could be “evolutionary”

The creature newly discovered and named Archicebus achilles has become the latest world’s oldest primate fossil and may be shedding light on our evolutionary roots soon. In a paper published in Nature, the international weekly journal of science, researchers have made it clear that this find may help fill gaps in the fossil record regarding the earliest phases of primate evolution. Here we’re seeing a tiny creature whom paper coauthor and Northern Illinois University researcher Daniel Gebo noted was “particularly interesting [due to] it’s completeness.”

There is an enormous hole in the Sun

There is a very large hole in the Sun — large even for something that is sun-sized. So, we’re probably all going to die soon after the effects of the implosion catch up to Earth, right? While your morbid fantasy tends to be more appealing to us as the workday drags on, unfortunately, we’re all going to live. The hole, pictured in its full glory below, is actually a normal occurrence in the realm of giant, fiery celestial bodies, known as a coronal hole.

For example did you know that it is impossible to take more than ten steps without spilling a cup of drink - coffee for example because of the oscillations that build up by taking steps forward.

How The Human Face Might Look In 100,000 Years

We’ve come along way looks-wise from our homo sapien ancestors. Between 800,000 and 200,000 years ago, for instance, rapid changes in Earth climate coincided with a tripling in the size of the human brain and skull, leading to a flattening of the face. But how might the physiological features of human beings change in the future, especially as new, wearable technology like Google Glass change the way we use our bodies and faces? Artist and researcher Nickolay Lamm has partnered with a computational geneticist to research and illustrate what we might look like 20,000 years in the future, as well as 60,000 years and 100,000 years out. I watch the BBC QI program and it comes up with a lot of interesting but factual trivia.

One recent piece is that when you walk normally and carry a cup of drink ie tea or coffee - how many continuous and consecutive steps will you take with that cup of tea or coffee etc before you spill some??
