Today I officially started participating in 7DFPS!
The goal of this world wide event is to create a good quality FPS game in just seven days! And there's over 500 teams from all over the world participating.
My team is off to a good start! In one day we already got the entire concept sorted out and we even had time to get a bulk of other things done too:)
The game we're creating is set in a post-apocalypse world which is visually similar to both Halo and Tron. The protagonist can advance in the game by beating enemies in Space Invaders / Touhou styled battles (in first person, obviously) and by solving multiple puzzles while Chiptune songs play on the background.
We decided to keep things easy and threw an 8bit theme over it which really makes everything fun to design
I sketched the main protagonist and turned him in a fully drawn character after making all textures while my mates turned everything in 3D objects (yes, an 8bit 3D game!). After that we coded them into the game and got two astonishing tutorial levels done after a lot of trail and error
For someone who never worked with Unity Pro before it's a huge challenge (and an even bigger learning curve), but I'm loving it!
We're not going to win, but if we keep it up like this a top 10 place will definitely be reached!

Today I checked my email, have one from the FBI. The found a box of money someone from Nigeria was shipping to me. I must respond or I will be prosecuted. I am not responding. If you don't hear from me you know where I am, the Hoover Bldg.
