Today I am happy man.
It's always a fantastic feeling to be in love. I have been almost constantly in love since high school years, although the object or target of my love has changed several times during my life as I've been looking for love in (several) wrong places like my nickname namesake Larry Laffer .
The last quarter or so of my 50+ years the object of my love has been the same, my dear Angie. As I mentioned it is always fantastic to be in love, but it is especially wonderful when you are in love with your wife :).
We've had some rough times due some health issues of my mother-in-law. One of us is needed 24/7 besides her, we have had absolutely no time together this summer. Most nights the other half of the bed is empty and when not, we have both been so exhausted we have not even noticed each other. No trips, first time ever no holiday, not even one overnight trip this summer. We simply can not be away from home. First time ever I have not met my family and relatives back in my native Finland during the holidays, first time ever we have not even been out an evening together this summer. All visits and visitors cancelled.
As sad as it is that dear and beloved Mutti, Angie's mother, was taken to a clinic for a few days observation on Friday, we got our first break in few months. The weekend has been absolutely fabulously "Wunderschön" as they say here in Germany: time together, little bit also with lately gravely neglected friends. Walking, talking, wining, dining, dancing, nice Blues in a cosy club. A lot in bed .
To be in love is fantastic. To be in love with your own wife is extremely fantastic, especially when you can feel, sense and hear that the feeling is mutual.
Life is good. MacOSX sucks!
