Doc, you are the expert.
Today I'm looking in to getting a new motor (Toyota Rav4) as my old VW will struggle on its next MOT
Rav4, very nice.
Good luck on your motor hunt. :)
No MOT here, no inspection of any kind. Used to have a State Safety Inspection but it usually consisted of driving into the inspection station, handing the guy $5, and him slapping the sticker on the windshield.
Well, since you're replacing your ride, I guess it is true that once a vehicle fails its MOT (in the UK) it makes more economic sense to get another one.

I used to be in an off-road club, had a 1988 Isuzu Trooper and a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. The club disbanded so I don't go off-roading anymore.
Still, 4x4 is useful during bad weather, this is my current 4x4.
2000 Land Rover Discovery II.
