I've never heard of him or his work, but I did some light reading and if the web is right he was 94!

You are right Yoyo, he was 94 and one the best singers, musician a multi talented artist. Amazing voice and personality.

You are right Yoyo, he was 94 and one the best singers, musician a multi talented artist. Amazing voice and personality.

I don't speak Hindi(?) but I can appreciate good vocals, and on Arc's link he demonstrates
great control .

This song is not Hindi, it is Bengali ... a regional language of India (my region), and the language of Bangladesh.

And, melody does not have any language ... it is a language itself
