How do pirates react when they are pirated?

Interesting read: What happens when pirates play a game development simulator and then go bankrupt because of piracy? | Greenheart GamesGreenheart Games

Long story short: A game developer released a game about developing games.

Confused? Gets better: They also "released" a pirated torrent version of their own game, with an added bonus: in the "pirate" version, the game developing company the gamer is running suffers great losses because of piracy.

Result: gaming forums filled with questions about how to avoid piracy and be able to play the game without pirates taking the in-game company down.

Actual quote from the game's "pirated" version:
Boss, it seems that while many players play our new game, they steal it by downloading a cracked version rather than buying it legally.
If players don’t buy the games they like, we will sooner or later go bankrupt.

I saved the article, reading it now every now and then to get a good laugh. What a genial social study!

Read this the other day, too. Such a great study and some of the posts by the people who pirated it is just pure comedy.

I went over to my Steam account and up voted it, and posted a nice comment, worthy effort, I do support indies, I get very sick of major companies putting out rushed garbage.

93% bad users, that is appalling for a $8 cost game, some people need a KARMA wake up call.

My freedom and integrity are easily worth $9.
