Truly a great achievement to be able to hear Alexander Graham Bell. The way he says "no hundred" for numbers like $4029.46 is a tell-tale sign of just how old this recording really is.

Och aye...a fine Scottish accent. If your ever in Edinburgh go to the south east corner of Charlotte square where you find his birthplace, a lovely Georgian building, located in a beautiful city (less the tram-works of course).

boohbah You have the accent down to a 'T', definitely a Dundonian slant. Now I have a confession to make, I possess a first edition 'Oor Wullie' publication containing scripts going back to the mid 1930's - which incidentally was published in the early 1970's and thankfully for all his followers he hasnae changed much ower the years. Needless to say it's presently housed in Fort Knox! Ich
