Tea contains more caffeine than coffee by dry weight. A typical serving, however, contains much less, since tea is normally brewed much weaker. Also contributing to caffeine content are growing conditions, processing techniques, and other variables. Thus, certain types of tea may contain somewhat more caffeine than other teas.

I am addicted, have always been. A normal day begins with 3 mugs (one mug about 25 cl or 8.5 fluid ounces) of strong coffee, that's my breakfast. Two more before lunch, a few during the afternoon, two or three in the evening.

According to Angie's statistics, in our household we consume about 500 gr (17.6 oz) of filter coffee, 250 gr (8.8 oz) espresso and 200 gr (7 oz) of instant coffee per week, from which Angie drinks one cup every morning and second late afternoon, rest being consumed by me.

I started drinking coffee at the age of around 6. My grandfathers famous Tar. If it wasn't drank the first day you got it warmed up the next day. Sometimes he would make coffee in what he called his reserve. Put in big jars and store it under the sink. Sometimes it would get a little moldy. He would just pour the mold off and reheat it. In school they thought I was hyper. I didn't know then I was just on a caffeine buzz. No I'm not making this up. My grandfather did a lot of strange things. I have been hooked on coffee every sense. It's nice to be hook on something you enjoy that is legal.

Never drank a cup of coffee in my life, and never will. The smell alone puts me off. I've been told I'll never be a successful software developer without drinking coffee.

Funny thing is, though I detest the taste of coffee, I love the aroma (unless it's stale; that's a whole nuther story). Even odder was, when I worked in a convenience stores, my customers would frequently tell me I made better coffee than anyone else (the "secret" was thoroughly cleaning the coffee makers and keeping the coffee fresh).

I drink WAY too much coffee (up to 4 or 5 litres a day sometimes), but have done so since my first job
in the newspaper game. Long hours and inflexible deadlines combined to make it an essential part of the
day, not a luxury or an option.

Even today, I've had four mugs before I even leave the house, and the first thing I do when I get to work
is put the kettle on. Some bosses wouldn't like that, but mine's good with it, he's coffee-fuelled too.

Nowadays I'm usually on the comp till the wee-smalls, working, researching, posting on forums or
frigging about with Photo-Shop and the need for coffee hasn't diminished at all.

No coffee for me, I have 1 cup of tea in the morning and then i'll drink a couple of red bulls or blackcurrant juice. I'm trying to stop drinking red bull though as it's seriously bad for my health. I was drinking atleast 8 a day but no more than 2 now
