I drank a mix of cola and beer while I was in Germany. Dr Pepper might work too. And while you are at it, fill the coffee maker with Dr Pepper instead of water...then try it
I had a few of those when I was in Germany too and honestly they weren't half bad. I don't think Dr. Pepper would work though...the taste is just too distinct.
Easiest way is a couple of shots of Ameretto in each cup . almond Irish coffee :)

Try Lapland Coffee (you need a really big mug for this):
Put a coin in bottom of a cup / mug. Pour coffee until the coin cannot be seen anymore. Now pour vodka until the coin becomes visible again.

    Enjoy.

One thing I have noticed... about nine months ago, I gave up cigarettes.

Since then, my coffee consumption has risen by around 30-50%.

Oh that's bad! They call it Diesel here, half beer half coke. The same with Sprite is Radler which translates as biker (Rad is short from Fahrrad = bicycle). All German speaking areas know the names so can order Diesel or Radler anywhere here and found them as such in Getränkekarten, "drink menus".

Never understood how they can drink them .
Where I was they called it something else, I can't really say what it was called because it would inappropriate and raciest. Anyways I did find it to be a much bigger thing with the younger crowd, and also for the ladies who didn't really like beer in the first place.

I cut back on smoking a lot because it interferes with my physical training but I don't think I could ever quit completely. One of my favorite things is a nice warm cup of coffee and a fresh cigarette on a nice cool evening. My little slice of heaven.

I drink tea and coffee, but I'll probably drink on average, around 3-5 cups of coffee a day.

Kari, you should try a welsh coffee, drop a coffee bean into a large glass, top up with your spirit of choice, enjoy, you can even reuse the bean more than once
