Perhaps, if we had summary executions for perpetrators of violent crimes, we could forego imposing ridiculous standards on the general populace.

I propose that we reward a minimum of $50,000 to anyone who summarily executes any criminal for the commission or contemplation any crime.

I would surely rest easier knowing how much safer we would all be.

. . .can only say that I am glad my school days are far behind me, and that my two sons are grown men whose children have only one more year left in school.

This is even more ridicules than the first article, the "2 inch" knife was in a survival kit locked in his car.

I would have been suspended as well, I was an Eagle Scout in HS who always carried a knife. It was never a problem, it was a tool not a weapon. Of course that was almost 40 years ago. As Bob Dylan said, "The times they are a-changin'."

Zacharyís offense? Taking a camping utensil that can serve as a knife, fork and spoon to school. He was so excited about recently joining the Cub Scouts that he wanted to use it at lunch.

School officials concluded that he had violated their zero-tolerance policy on weapons, and Zachary was suspended and now faces 45 days in the districtís reform school.

I remember taking one of those to a cub camping event. We didnt worry about health and safety back then.

There's some funny people out there.
I remember going to a Chiropractor a few years ago. When he had me lie down on the table he spotted my ever-present, custom-made 2" pocket knife clipped inside my jeans. Grabbing for it to remove it without asking he said, "Well, we don't need any weapons in here now, do we?"
If I wasn't in dire need of immediate chiropractic services I would have told him to, er, um, well, you can figger out what I might have told him....

...perhaps he used to be a Proctologist and someone retaliated after a particularly eager PSA test?
