    E-Readers

I have been looking at e-readers as I intend buying one, there are quite a few on the market (Kindle Paperwhite at £109.00 looks good) but I would like to ask Windows Seven Forums members and users of a e-reader there advice on buying one, thank you :)

yeah ,she has loads of research to read as she is studying for her top up degree, so i can convert tons of her research papers using calibre and she can view it on her wee booky thing ,so she can use it anywhere not just when she is in front of the lappy

    Hi Steph,

I know you have specifically asked about E-readers, but I figured if you were looking to spend that sort of money you could also consider regular Android tablets. They are very cheap now and there is even a Kindle app for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...n.kindle&hl=en

It's just something to consider as of course you can use a tablet for so much more than just reading such as watching movies, surfing the net and playing games etc.

    Paul.

Keep in mind tablets will have far less battery life, only hours compared to the days and even weeks of e-ink e-book readers. Tablet screens can wash out in bright light and some people have difficulty reading LCD screens over long periods.

I've actually got the Kindle app on my Windows 8 Notebook and love it. It's OK for me as I don't go anywhere I don't need the portability of an e-reader.

I started with a couple of free books but to buy them is really cheap compared with actual books, I've just bought a couple so have plenty of reading when I'm not in forums.
