    Is this a common practice?

    The article is irrelevant, but notice this line:

    I'm warming my hands over the fire made from the last of my furniture when my phone bings. It's an assignment! From my favourite editor! Starvation allayed for another day!
    Yet my face falls as I read it: "Prove Steam is evil." My penury means I can't refuse it but... it's mad. Everyone knows Valve is the good guy. No one in their right mind could call Valve evil.
    Seriously? It looks like the author was given a topic AND a conclusion, and was forced to write his article so it agrees with that conclusion. That's actually a frightening prospect. How widespread is this crap?

    Unfortunately, this garbage happens more and more now as a way to grab your attention with the headlines to get better view/visit counts.
