American Veterans - Honored in Pilsen, Czek Republic

Have you ever wondered if anyone in Europe remembers America 's sacrifice in World War II?
There is an answer in a small town in the Czech Republic . The town called Pilsen ( Plzen ).



American veterans honored in Pilsen

Over the next three days the FOX11 series "Return to Pilsen: An American Story" will air on FOX 11 News broadcasts.

Monday will focus on the festival itself and what it means to the American World War II Veterans who attend and the Czech people who take part.

Tuesday will look closer at the connection between Northeast Wisconsin and Pilsen through the LaViolette Scholarship being presented in Pilsen during the Liberation Festival.

Wednesday will profile a World War II veteran originally from Madison and the connection he continues to make with photos he took during 1945 as a soldier during the liberation of the city.

Two of my brothers are Nam vets.

I'm Korean War.

My guess would be - practically NONE.

I may be wrong.. however, I think few if any at all .
