Your thoughts on HP Dv series Laptops

In the past 2 years I have run into a plethora of DV series laptops with the GPU Failure. I have been able to convince most of my customers to buy Lenovo or Asus and/or anything but HP.

What are your thoughts on this?
What should Consumers think?
What should HP be doing?
What should we as techs be doing?
