Now there is a detective squad.
Newegg shafted me, no presents. I won't buy from them anymore. I bought about $700 worth of components to build a new system. One of them was an ASRock Z77 motherboard. After assembling everything and attempting to boot up, I found two memory slots that were bad. The other two memory slots worked OK. I tried the known good working memory modules in the two memory slots that didn't work and still no go. I contacted ASRock and after some troubleshooting they agreed it was bad and told me to contact Newegg for exchange as it was less than 30 days since purchase. I contacted newegg, got an RMA, and carefully packaged up the motherboard, including the CPU socket blank insert. Newegg responded back that the CPU socket had bent pins and refused to replace it. Newegg sent it back and I checked for bent pins but didn't see any. I installed the motherboard, including my i7 3770 CPU and it worked OK, no problems (except the two bad memory slots). I contacted ASRock and after several back and forth messages they finally agreed to replace the motherboard.
From comments I found on the internet I'm not the only one that has had "bent CPU socket pins" on returns to newegg.
