    Yay!!

I just got a nice note from a Microsoft employee who works for the advertising department advising me that I won a brand new Dell laptop. I got it for subscribing to one of their newsletters. Looks legit, but you know what they say about things that look too good to be true. They aren't asking for a credit card or anything like that... just my phone number and shipping address. So I dunno.... what do you think?

I assume you did subscribe to that newsletter?

Can't be too much risk if you don't give out any payment details.

I remember subscribing to the newsletter because I wanted to enter the contest. They sent a declaration and release form with the email. Like I said... looks legit.

Check the website and find a e-mail address or phone number (IF possible) and try to check on it that way.

    Hopefully true, Congrats...

The email helpfully links to the website's contest page that lists all the rules and it mentions the emailer's name specifically. Plus there is a phone number that I plan to call on Monday.

And Tews... NO! I don't want a ruby badge that badly. Unless it's a netbook. LOL

    That's great

    Glad that it's legitimate.

Did they tell you what laptop it is?

    Enjoy...
