    How's it going everyone?

Just thought I would introduce myself and state that I am glad to be here. I am looking forward to being a member for awhile and helping people out. (To the best of my ability anyway.) I am active on other forums as well. But I intend this one to be the main one I will be going to from now on.
I can be found on a couple of forums. Avast forums and Safer networking forums. I was really active with safer networking but then life got busy. Now I am back tackling a forum that does windows as a whole. And refreshing it is. I love the tutorials you guys have. Makes it great for people who need the click here approach.

Couple questions that might be useful to know each other better.

1.) Why did you sign up for seven forums?
2.) When did you first get interested in technology (computers)?
3.) Who's your favorite hardware manufacture?
4.) Any inside jokes I should be aware of? ha idk.

    Nice to meet you all.

Welcome Andrew to the Windows 7 forum. Lots of very helpful people here with tons of knowledge that you get for free.

    1. I signed up because I felt that the rules were correct re: no piracy or talk of it. Tolerance of new users question and the admins here won't allow someone to ridicule unskilled users.
    2. Way back in the early 70's when I was learning to program the IBM using punch cards and IBM came out with the PC which allowed me to enter the data and correct it. As well as a interpreter for programming.
    3. My favorite Hardware Manufacturer varies from year to year based on their latest offering. I do prefer Intel CPU's as I have had less problems with them than the other ones.
    4. Remember that computer sales people most closely resemble used car sales people.

    Hi Andrew and welcome.

    1. I worked on Computers all my life and after retirement I had nothing better to do than join here. I also help out on some other forums but recently I became a bit lazy.

    2. I wrote my first computer program in 1958 at University on a Zuse Z11 - I don't think many people will remember those computers. Later I was in software development (big main frames) for 35 years.

    3. I have no favorite PC manufacturer. I buy whatever suits me best at the time of purchase. I currently own 6 PCs of 5 different makes - AMD and Intel. They all work, what more can you ask for.

    4. You'll find out over time once you graduated to the inner circle.

1). Signed up because I was at Vista Forums, signed up there because of the tutorial list there and really to get to know computer stuff

2). About 2 or 3 years ago when I joined here. Got into networks for about a year and a half and only just started getting into Cisco stuff :)

3). Intel for CPUs, AMD for GPUs - Why? Because that is all that I've had and can comment on

4). Not a lot that I know of, but all I can say is respect others and others will respect you.

EDIT: , Thinking about it ... I ain't too far away

Ohh and welcome to Seven Fourms... Forgot to add that :)

Hello Andrew, and welcome to the SevenForums!

1.) Why did you sign up for seven forums?
To help people with problems and contribute to this awesome community.
2.) When did you first get interested in technology (computers)?
Hah, I've been at it since as long as I can remember. But I got into the more technical stuff since my 16th.
3.) Who's your favorite hardware manufacture?
I don't have a fav. When looking for hardware I look for good quality, not for a particular brand.
4.) Any inside jokes I should be aware of? ha idk.
You'll find out as soon as you've joined The Dark Side. Or maybe you'll need to choose between a cherry or a reindeer goat before that

Oh, you might also want to take a peep in this thread :)

Signed up when searching help for missing Windows help files. Stayed because this was clearly a no-BS place to learn and share what I had learned.

Blasphemy! It is a reindeer, has always been a reindeer.

BTW, the same post count (2,000 posts) gives you free beer and right to use the secret handshake.

2.when i got my first computer
    3. not computer manufactures since i like building my own pc but for parts would be asus since they make pretty good motherboards from my experience using them in my builds and AMD for the price of their video cards and decent processors.

    1. Signed up as I heard there were hot looking ladies here only to find Boo was not a babe and Kari was a cross dresser!hehehe
    2. Got a Gateway Laptop to help me saving data on borrower's looking to buy or refi their homes.
    3. As for manufactures I buy refurbished/returned computers from Sam's Club or Costco. Saved a bundle of cash.
4 Favorite jokes cannot be posted as I would be banned.

It has been a great ride with all the superior support group, mods, and the big cheese.
Not forgetting PooManUK and Arc who took me under their wings in learning graphics.
Would someone send Arc a spell check program?
