iPhone 5S haters: here's how you steal a fingerprint

So, the iPhone 5S has a fingerprint scanner built into the Home button. Pretty secure, am I right? Nooo! You can steal someone's fingerprint. For all Apple haters everywhere.

Once this gets huge public attention, I wonder how apple will come up with an excuse.

It has always been my opinion that most of these so-called biometric security systems are a joke.

Every one that I've read about has obvious flaws (i.e. been designed and/or implemented by idiots).

IMO, biometric security systems actually need to be multi-factor (e.g. not just a single scanner).

    Interesting piece, thanks.

I didn't see them bypassing the iPhone 5s fingerprint reader. They can't, at least not that way.
Pretty obvious really, the iphone itself will be covered with prints. Apple realised that, funnily enough.

I am no Apple fan - I am assuming you don't want to spread nonsense.

I expect somebody will find a way, though. People are trying right now.

Apple's new fingerprint security system for the iPhone 5S was supposed to make it harder for hackers to access a user's personal information. However, it appears hackers in Germany have already found a way to dupe the system.
