Joan, why don't you take the Eurostar to Paris from there, I'll drive there to meet you for a magic weekend? Angie said it's OK :).
What a wonderful idea Kari, only a couple problems though, I don't have a passport or like travelling.
Eurostar takes you there from London in two and a half hours. You are an EU citizen, a valid photo ID is enough for you to travel in all EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein :).
Next weekend?, Saturday at noon, Starbucks at the Gare du Nord station?
Sounds nice, although I'd still have to travel to London from here which is about a 5 or 6 hour journey. Would my bus pass count as a valid photo ID, but that only lets me travel on the bus in Wales and it may only apply to the county I live in.
