Happy belated Finnish independence day!
Yesterday I ruined my laptop in an attempt to clean all the dust and reseat everything
Luckily I insured it good and I can get a new one for barely any extra costs, but the fastest that I have time for that will be somewhere at the end of next week.
So I won't be able to post much, if any, until then because I'm using my roomies desktop now, and he needs it 99% of the time.
Happily I have triple backups of everything so the data loss is at a minimum (thank god for DropBox and external HDD's!) but all software/canneds/recent GFX work is gone

unlucky nommy, what did you use to blow the dust out , a wind machine?
a lot of your gfx stuff is on the graphics foums, do a search for your name in the customisation forums and you will bring up the pages with your art.
Bummer Stefan, you almost had it right, backing up, but not everything. Hopefully you can get most back. A Guy
Thanks guys!
I do regular backups, but I somehow excluded my recent GFX folder-_-
I cleaned it about two weeks ago with canned air and a piece of cloth, but I didn't screw everything back properly and yesterday afternoon I heard a ramble. So I opened it up again only to find even more dust-_- I thoroughly cleaned it out this time and put everything back in, but as soon as I turned it on I heard POOF and there went my lappy>_>what did you use to blow the dust out , a wind machine?
Lesson learned; don't mess with stuff you don't fully understand!

Today I nominate myself for the Darwin Award
I've been having a problem with my card reader in my main desktop, so while on amazon I added a cheap reader to another order, Standard 3½ or 5½ front panel mounting.
Came to fit it this morning and then noticed that the front facia on the tower was a one piece unit with cutouts to suit the original Acer unit only
On a better note after a good clean the original unit appears to be working again and I have another standard tower that could use a card reader :)
Well I had a nice day today, hubby bought me a couple of bunches of roses and a lovely box of chocolates plus a lovely card for our 37th Wedding Anniversary. :)
