Proud uncle: my niece Viivi (age: 11) was two weeks ago one of the two finalists in the Finnish version of the Junior Master Chef competition. Sadly she did not win but the second place in a competition like this is good enough :).

Now she published a cook book which sold out already before first edition came out, so the second edition needs to be pressed immediately.

Yes, according to judges (all known pros), regarding her skills she could already work as a chef in upscale restaurants, be it not the "stupid" laws in Scandinavian countries that say kids under 15 may not work, and kids under 18 may not work evenings and nights :).

Julian, we are talking about gourmet cuisine and cooking, not about "British cuisine" .

Apologies, my information was wrong and I got corrected: the book has not sold out before publishing. It will be published any day now, already showing on publisher's website (in Finnish) and is still available.

But still, quite an achievement for someone still in her preteens.
