    Grrr! My freezer packed up, everything thawed and the melting ice tripped a circuit breaker.

    Fortunately not much in there as I prefer fresh to frozen.

    I had to buy a new one (fridge/freezer) last November, Hotpoint NRFAA50P Fridge Freezer Ice Diamond Freestanding Polar White, but if you dont need it much save your £ Keith :)

    Yes. I haven't really used a freezer since my main one packed up about 10 years ago. This was just a little one I used for frozen veg. It was about 30 years old so it had a good run.

    They do last quite well, my old one was about 9 years old and the first I had bought (the fridge door seal went but as it was getting on I went for new) :), have a look in your local papers you may find a small chest freezer at a nice price.
