Spent two days trying to repair/reinstall irreparable Windows 10 install I'd unwisely installed for friend via TeamViewer, replaced with Win7 on his PC which came with 8 he refers to as "that mess". He really wanted to keep 10 but I told him he'll need to wait for Consumer Preview if he can't repair it himself. Something in the BIOS or drivers possibly, it goes sideways as soon as its reinstalled tho it ran fine for a week.

win-10 went south for me too :/
Still not sure why a simply re-install of a dual boot went terribly wrong :/
Still picking up the pieces nice clean install though it had to be done and I did want to but always chickened out :)
Thanks to All that helped me Steve/ Grego/ Wolfgang
    Cheers.

    Nice little red car :)

I never got what the problem was with your 10 install, Mike. Did you post it up at 10F?

    Hi,
No I just scrapped it when win-10 had apparently overwritten win-7
There were no boot options for win-7 partition
So in spite I formatted win-10's partition I posted a few screen shots 2 in the sigs and avatars album and one in my background images album
It's all good now but the images are still there

I thought you had shrunk Win7 partition to make space to install 10 upon? Then all you'd need to do is just make sure you selected that space when installing 10, whether you had the Drive Options or not. Nothing could go wrong if you selected the space you shrunk from 7.

E was where win-10 was selected to install
C was obviously win-7 but was nowhere in sight after win-10 was installed,
Before I could see the C drive and oddly access it
Win-7 could not access the win-10 partition though I found that out by accident
In other words the first time I installed win-10 I installed it on top of win-8.1
That particular install I got rid of because it was acting weird,
If I shut down on the win-10 side on restart win-10 wanted to restart even though win-7 was the default os settings were confirmed in win-8.1 and redone after win-10 install,

But after I scrapped that install of win-10 and attempted to just do a fresh install without win-8.1 installed that's where it went oddly rogue,
So I was very familiar how to install an ios booting to a flash drive I did it with win-8 a while back,
It just didn't work out the same way for some unknown reason,

If I do it again I'll use vmplayer
