Windows 7: ***** Server upgrade *****

It should take no longer than an hour unless you have an ISP that caches DNS longer than it should, if thats the case it's anybodys guess.

I've just changed the attachment settings, they should now only be available to new server users.

What is the upgrade path from Windows 7 to Windows Server 2012?
I have a client who is running windows 7 as a server and has run out of inbound connections of 20. I can't find a solution or an answer to whether I can simply upgrade windows 7 to windows server 2012? or W7 > W8.1 > WSE2012 ? Would anybody know? Thank you in advance
