I didn't know Benny Hill made it across the pond? How did his type of humour go down there or are you too youg to remember?

He was great! I remember watching him every night after the news.

I watched him quite a bit on PBS. Anyone with twice the entendre can't be all bad.

The show I miss the most is the Paul Hogan variety show from Australia. afaik you can't get it on video anywhere. There were only about 38 shows. Not enough to make money releasing to DVD I suppose. Some of the bits were similar to Benny. Fast forward video, time lapse etc.. Hogan had some interesting characters he did on the show. I guy with apron cooking shrimp on the barbie, not bothering to take the beer can out of the sixpack. Just pop open another and keep drinking. A police lieutenant detective who beat anyone who talked to him. When I first got cable that was one of the unexpected gems. Must've been in the '80s. Never heard of Paul Hogan before that. Of course he got big internationally later with the Dundee movies.

Ah, yes. We were able to get a lot of the good stuff like Benny Hill, Monty Python, etc.

Now, If we can tune the rabbit ears just right we can get the BBC!

Well, the moral of this story, The moral of this
song Is simply that one should never be Where one
does not belong And if you see your neighbor
carrying something, Help him with his load And
don't go mistaking paradise For that home across
    the road
