The Egg makes prices by whim

NewEgg prices are a real mystery. The Kingston 120GB SSD SV300S37A was sold yesterday for $69.99, is on their website for $ 89.99 and they advertise it the same day for $113.94. Go figure.

I got a sales promo email showing 70% off for MBAM Pro.
Unfortunately they raised the price to 49.99 before the discount for this item from the Egg.
It comes out to $15 after the discount, and that's a good price, but what a promo/discount !!!

lol they are just giving you MBAM for free because they combination of the 10% off and the 70% just add up to you paying the whole price of OEM windows and the MBAM is pretty much free lame

Only MBAM Pro was at the so called 70% off. All other select software was 10% off. The two discounts were separate and not combinable.

What's curious is MBAM's website is now showing the Pro version to be $25. It used to be $50. The resulting $15 from 70% off $50 is still a good deal although the deceptive way NewEgg presents it makes it look like a much better bargain than it really is.

NewEgg has been doing a lot of deceptive things lately, such as yoyo pricing. One that really bites my ample asset (besides tall dogs) are the "sales" that have promo codes good for, say, 48 hours or when available funds run out. Those funds run out quickly, sometimes in as little as a few short hours; four hours is the shortest I've seen (it could have been less but it was four hours after my inbox got the email when I tired to order something and the sale was already over even though it was supposedly good for 48 hours; the funds had already run out).

With the way Newegg's customer service has been slipping, the pricing games it's been playing, the constant stockouts, discontinued items (which often get restocked), etc., I'm thinking NewEgg is either already in serious finanacial trouble or they got a new CEO who will get them into serious financial trouble before long.

I've never seen MBAM Pro priced at $50 anywhere before this, including the MBAM online purchase.
fwiw, MBAM is going to a subscription (yearly fee) license...
I do wonder about the Eggs ethics and tactics with this promo...
I'm a long time user of Newegg, and MBAM Pro...

I've seen MBAM Pro priced at $50 on MBAM's website several years ago. I suspect NewEgg is still using that for their MSRP.

If MBAM Pro goes to a yearly license, I'll haul them into small claims court since they sold me a lifetime license (two, actually). Where did you get that information?

A lifetime license will be grandfathered/honored.
Here are a couple of links about this.

Thank you! It's good to know previous lifetime licenses will continue to be so.
