    This is scary

Facebook has this new face recognition function. When you post a picture showing several people, it will link the pages of all those people - provided they have a facebook account with a picture.

My wife made an 'artist canvas' for her mother with a picture including her father who died 25 years ago. She posted that on one of her crafting facebook sites where she is on the design team. Facebook threw up a link to her brother's facebook site. Her brother is about the same age now as her father was on the picture.

    This is scary.

The whole face recognition feature is a bit unnerving and I'm not just talking about Facebook,
You had to see where the feature was going,
Others have control who they know and tag,
    Yes it's undeniably scary,
Law enforcement loves the new feature

You could be easily arrested because your father or twin brother has a record. Not something to look forward to.

You'd think that would be enough :)
Now you have to think about your friends/ relatives .... habits with images and social networks

Well that would be their job because I never uploaded a picture of them too.

You wouldn't need to upload a picture or send one to ....
All you would need to do is be in a group photo that some else took,
Heck I'm in a few I found and didn't even know it was a Kodak moment
Then off it goes/ tagged and posted on Facebook......

If NSA/CIA ever set up this sort of thing (maybe something in that ), there would be a revolution. So called social media does it and people can't wait to sign up.
How many think of "Peanuts" and Charlie Brown ..... "People are like sheep"
    Art.

Why do you think they haven't already? Anything underhanded and intrusive they will use. If anyone has a picture on any type of ID, license, etc, they already have it.
This is yet another reason I stay away from FB and Twitter.
People argue it's a way to "stay in touch", I have email and a telephone, or God forbid, write a letter.

I'm at least safe with Twitter because I have no friends or relatives or anyone else that have a picture with me have no twitter account. And, like I said, I never ever post my real self. But remember, there is Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and all the other social networks too.
