winamp ftw

i don't use any of the library stuff, i generally right-click folders in explorer to start playing albums.

why do i use it?
  • plays lots and lots of media formats

  • the best visuals i've seen - milkdrop is stunning

  • i've spent hours making my own skin for it

  • free version does all i need

  • used it for more years than i care to remember, and was glad aol didn't ruin it

  • great auto-tag and download album-art feature

Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1

I remember when Music Match Jukebox was the only player I would use. I tried installing it a few months ago (i forget what version) and it wouldn't run properly. I think it couldn't cope with the size of the music library. Now I stick with WMP12 and it does the job perfectly.

Winamp FTW!

I use it because of the addon Winamp Classic, i always use the playlist search, very handy, and it scans my library of 10k+ songs in under a minute.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

As I said I use the Symplicipod skin for Winamp and I really like it. It's dead simple, small, easy to use and looks cool.
I also use the FLAC plug-in as I try to use FLACs for best sound quality.
