Yes it's funny. I liked it.
Not beating up on you (note the winking emoticon). I was playing off you and a recent TV commercial.

A Microsoft spokesman said only that Mr. Gates’s first day in his new job had been “a learning experience” and that, for the immediate future, he would go back to running Windows 7.

Sorry but I'm not buying this on face value...
Bill Gates’s first day at work in the newly created role of technology adviser got off to a rocky start yesterday as the Microsoft founder struggled for hours to install the Windows 8.1 upgrade

After failing to install the upgrade by lunchtime, Mr. Gates summoned the new Microsoft C.E.O. Satya Nadella, who attempted to help him with the installation, but with no success.
Now if Mr. Gates himself spoke on it, and elaborated, than I might believe it.

And BTW, we all know install problems can just as easily happen with any OS. We have no further to look than here Installation & Setup - Windows 7 Help Forums

The one I didn't read, but instead the link posted in the OP's post.

Now if the OP's post was satire, than, yeah, I missed it

I'm sorry Guys/Gals, I though people would get a kick out of it and have a little fun.
I was not thinking about, not everyone would know about "The Borowitz Report".

Installing Windows 8 is the easy part. Using it is another story.

You probably should since this is the News forum, not jokes forum. And yeah, not everyone knows about the Borowitz report

I didn't know about The Borowitz Report, but it didn't take me long to figure out what was going on. It totally cracked me up when it dawned on me. I nearly fell out of my chair when it said the new CEO got called in and had problems.
