    I wear them for reading, but I seem to have a kind of 'object blindness'; sometimes (most of the time) when I'm out I don't recognize people until - about 5 feet away - they pop into sharp focus. However, my optician tells me that my eyesight hasn't deteriorated for years. Some mishtake, shurely?
