Thank you for letting us know what happened, Pam. Gary and I shared many an inside joke here and I will miss that. I know you and your family will miss him far more. I am so sorry.

I have lost one of my greatest friends and noblest men I have ever had the privilege to meet in Gary and I don't think the forum will ever be the same without him.

He changed and shared my opinions and mind in so many aspects of life and for that I am deeply grateful for the time I knew him. I shall miss him very much in that he is such a hard act to follow and that we were friends on a level that all mankind should be.

I take solace in knowing at least he got the recognition he so greatly deserved in receiving that award from Microsoft and I can only hope I can emulate some of his skills in what I accomplish in doing what we do in this forum.

My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to his wife and family as I know they will miss him most of all.

Goodbye Gary will see you in the great hereafter.

Mike and Gary will be watching over us and someday we will gather around a table and talk about the best AV program available.

That was their pet peeve along with politics and giving Steve and I a bad time.

I am at a loss for words. I was posting at 9F when I came upon a post by Britton30 that I thought was a joke that I just could not figure out. Then I read the replies and realized it was Pam, Gary's wife who posted that...and Gary was gone. John sent me a message there...but I had to sign off...it was too much of a shock.

I'm not very good with words, but Gary was a good friend of mine, and that speaks volumes for me. He shared my brand of humor, and was never full of himself. Yes, he helped many here, and I don't mean to diminish that, but for me it is more important the kind of person someone is...I put people first. Gary was top notch, and I will miss him greatly.

The only possible positive I can think of at this moment is...he received his MVP. I know he was proud of that, and it meant a lot to him to be so highly recognized. RIP my friend...indeed a Most Valuable Person.

My condolences to Pam and Gary's family there. Know he was well regarded by many, and we all enjoyed each other while he was here. I shall miss him greatly.

Just talked to Pam and will keep you posted on services. He may not have died from a heart attack as he fell and hit his head on a chair or desk. The autopsy report will determine the cause of death.

He had no burial insurance of any kind but Pam may have found an organization that will do the cremation for free.
I told her not to worry as I and others will help her in the costs as some of us did for Mike.

Will keep you posted as she won't know anymore until tomorrow or the next few days.
I am sure he is up there with Mike bragging about his Most Valuable Person award.

    May they both RIP!
