Julian (Boohbah), a good friend of mine is no longer with us here at the Seven Forums but he asked me to tell his condolences to Gary's family.

I'm stunned. I hadn't heard he was ill. Sounded strong when we spoke on the phone. But I'm wondering if the excitement was too much for him.

He must have been proud, though, of the honor bestowed and tributes pouring in for a week, just as we are so very proud of him.

Safe passage, my brother. We'll see it to the end of the line.

This one is good too, recorded after Roy's death but his voice is in it along with a quick tribute to him.

From the way he was posting right up until yesterday I really don't think he was ill. I get the feeling it must have been something sudden. It really makes you think. You never know what's round the corner and enjoy life while you can.

This is what I'm listening to trying to cope.

You see the son in the middle, the older generation passing the torch in tribute. Gary did that here, always encouraging, never a cross word. He was a teacher: taught us all, taught our younger generation, helped us to shine.

I am absolutely shocked by this news, i talked to him a couple of times in different threads yesterday and had no idea he was in ill health.

I first saw the post from his wife over at NineForums but didn't reply as i honestly thought it was an inside joke with Bigseb.

My condolences go out to his family and R.I.P Gary.

He was a sound voice of reason and help. Unexpected and sad. RIP Gary.
