My Windows 9 wishlist
I have a feeling that nobody from Microsoft will look at this but it still makes me feel better to list what I want from Windows 9 because right now, these things bug me. And these are just my needs. Your needs might be different and you might think my ideas are bad ideas, but this stuff is for my own personal use. Feel free to add to my list.
1) Better scaling for higher resolutions. I saw some people on Youtube with 4K monitors and their taskbar and start menu were tiny. I think MS should include something to make the taskbar scale with the resolution no matter what it is. Use a math formula. If the DPI is X pixels, then the taskbar should be X pixels wide and tall.
2) Easier access to other computers on LAN. I have to input a bunch of passwords to access files on other PCs in the house and sometimes I can't even access the files anyways. I just want there to be a way that I can get into any PC on my LAN. That might bring up some security concerns but honestly, we have nothing that a thief would ever want. Unless they want to steal my Skyrim saves and summer vacation pictures, they will get nothing interesting.
3) No login screen. I had to upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 7 (see what I did there) because the PC I built my disabled father kept asking for a password EVEN WHEN we disabled all passwords and logins. Any change made to the PC required his Outlook password even when we disconnected his Outlook account from the PC. And he wears thick glasses and has arthritis so he doesn't need to be typing in all these passwords.
4) Make pop up windows stay in the background. I have had times when I was typing something and I didn't notice a new window popped up and I accidentally selected something in the new window not realizing it because I thought that I was still typing. I look at the keys when I type so it gets frustrating having to mess with that.
