My brains fried
I first go to the posts with zero replies - search option - and see if there's anything there that I might be able to help with.

A lot of n00b questions, one post wonders mostly, but rep isn't really the reason we're here, is it?

I suspect that the activity level in the forum won't die down for at least six months.

Windows 7 is going to be a popular OS. Perhaps as popular as XP and Windows 95.

I disagree. Being in the IT sector since 2000, businesses won't go to Seven until they have to. Let's look at an accounting firm. What advantages does 7 have over XP? They probably run specialized software that is not optimized for 7. Maybe, and I stress maybe second quarter of next year we'll see a migration to Seven.
and is it called "Seven" or "7?"

But the IT sector people won't come here for support.

I'm IT and I'm here. however I'm eventually leaving IT.

"real" IT people might go to [H] but they'll have to go somewhere.

The beauty of this site is that it is intended to be a conduit between users with all levels of experience.

Here at SF, anyone can come and ask questions without receiving the arrogance and condescension that sometimes can be found be found on other 'tech' sites full of 'real IT' people.

And there is no definitive way of calling Seven "7" - however it's preferable not to type it as se7en.

A very unusual brain
Found this in a newsletter and am amazed at the well preserved convolutions in this brain. I have seen quite a few over the years and especially form dementias and they are indeed a sory looking organ compared to this one. Einstein?s brain was unusual in several respects, rarely seen photos...

Is my ISP brain damaged... or is it me?
Earlier tonight I was trying out some apps on Windows 8. As I opened the Maps app, it asked if it could use my internet connection to set up my location; I said OK. It then opened up a map of my "home"... in Helena, Montana! Ummm... I live 2000 miles away in New Jersey. My Weather app...
