Good reply you got from them. That's great, sounds like you have a good supplier. It seems like many of these suppliers are really nice people.

What was wrong with them? Just nasty tasting?

I do think certain flavors are just like that. Nothing you can do to make em good. Just not good vaping flavors.

I've given up my search for a good Cherry flavor for that reason. Everyone Ive tried is just bad or tastes like Im vaping perfume.
I tried making my own with Black Cherry and it was OK, and although it wasn't that strong it still had that slight perfume taste, even at very low percentages. Maybe its just me ...

It was OK as a mixer though. Like a cola flavor and a couple drops of black cherry made a pretty decent Cherry Coke type flavor. But alone, not so good.

And yea, alot of these suppliers are pretty good people. The large majority of them are just small businesses and fellow vapers just like us. Often run by just a few people. They've been there done that so a lot of issues they understand are willing to make it right.

Well basically they tasted real foul. Not like it's not my kind of flavors foul more like a real bad taste like food that's bad. It smelt bad and chemically and tasted even worse. Hard to explain really.
All 3 bad bottles had the same production date.

I agree with you on Cherry, I have had a bottle of black cherry in the past and I liked it a lot as a mixer. It was ok on it's own but worked great when mixed with other juices.
I liked it so much as a mixer that one of the new flavors I ordered was Red cherry. I plan on using that as a mixer too, usually with tobacco flavors.

I also have a 50/50 PG/VG Blueberry coming and some stuff called RY04, it's a sweet tobacco flavor with roasted caramel undertone whatever the heck that is lol.

I think it should be with me tomorrow so I will let you know if they are better.

I recon my stock levels will be up to over 300ml once they arrive and the deadly sin too I made a little vape juice shelf in the cabin lol. Nice to keep it all in one place and out the way of kids.

Paul, it might not be a bad idea to send one bottle of the bad stuff back so they can test it to find what went wrong with it.
    Just an idea.

Maybe Bob, they did test bottles from the same batch and found them to be fine. They may get better with age. Not too sure. I don't really mind. I got them replaced for free and I will certainly try the old ones again in a couple of months to see if there has been any improvement.

Maybe my tastebuds are just better than all the peoples who left great reviews I really don't know but they tasted like crap to me lol.

EDIT: Oh and do you like my vape shelf? lol

I'm surprised your taste buds still work after smoking all those years.
Yes, I did see the shelf, looks good from this side of the pond.

I like the way your PC lights up the whole cabin. Is this how you work on your tan ?

Well apparently your taste is one of the first things to come back along with smell after a few weeks of quitting smoking. Maybe I found out the hard way?

Yeah, a couple of hours on the PC each night and I have a beautiful tan on my face and hands. :)

I am all tanned up for tonight so time for bed!

Finally made it across town to that shop I found a while back, they don't let you test flavors like some of those places Jessie was talking about.

I got 4 10ml bottles for $20, a couple different vendors so I got a couple flavors from each.

This place here, E cigs | Electronic cigarettes | Apollo Electronic cigarettes is actually a local company, I got a raspberry flavor and a kiwi watermelon, which is what I'm trying right now, it's a little too smooth for my likes but tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher.

The other two I got are a black honey tobacco and grandmas cookies, from this vendor https://www.vaporpenz.com/. Haven't tried those yet.

I went down to the 12mg nic level on those 4 bottles, I may be trying to step down too soon but we'll see. I know I'm not going back to cigarettes now though.

I see what you guys are talking about with the similar looking hardware at these places.

I got a better variety of juices now, still only at $40 for this month which is just about half of what I normally spent on tobacco. Still impressed and going strong with this.

Great job, Derek, keep it up. I imagine you will find a lot of flavors you like.

I'm not huge on tobacco flavors myself but RY04 is really good. There are different versions of it too. They are all basically a caramel/tobacco type thing but vary slightly. Like a Double version which is caramel heavy and a Asian version etc

At any count, the only bad thing I can say about that flavor is it requires a longer steep time than most, especially if mixed with other things. Most likely, the Vendor will have allowed some steep time though so this shouldn't be a issue.
It actually is pretty decent. Although I can't really describe it, I like it.

Also, have you tried chocolate with a touch of Cherry? Pretty good once you get it just right!

    @derekimo
Never had it as a vendor juice but I have experimented with Black Honey Tobacco as a DIY mix.
To me, by itself, tastes like a pipe tobacco. A good sweet Pipe tobacco. Its potent though, so getting the mix just right is hard. Very little required.
I've got 1 bottle steeping right now that uses that and RY04, with a hint of honey in it. Not sure how good it is yet, but I followed someone elses recipie for it and they said 3 weeks steep time.

But the Black Honey didn't seem to bad when I tried it, and seemed to be promising. Just hard to know for sure that early and it was fresh with no steep time.
No idea what its like when properly mature so do let us know please.

But yea, the sense of smell/taste does start returning over the first 2-3 months.
Its also why especially at the start, some of your flavors end up loosing the taste real fast for many of us. Tastes/smell returning to normal and your getting overwhelmed supposedly.

I never used to notice the smell of cigarette smoke unless right up on someone. Anymore, I can smell it several feet away or even know a smoker when they walk by. It just smacks me hard.
I also noticed I started making my morning coffee slightly weaker after a while.

That all has to be a good thing and show something is at least happening lol.

I also experimented with a couple recipies that sounded odd to me, but turned out good.
One was called Fuzzy Melons. Juicy Peach, Watermelon, Honey Dew.
May not sound good, but it actually was quite good.
Adams Apple was a nother that was good. Green Apple + Koolada.
Imagine a Green Jolly Rancher with a cold menthol like bite on the inhale. (Koolada is similar to Menthol but without the menthol taste, just the cooling effect if that makes sense)
